One Chapter, One Evil Spirit: A Record of Folk Taboos

The rules passed down through generations by our elders are not to be broken lightly.

Never answer when someone calls your name from the dark in the middle of the night. Never look directly into a shattered mirror. Never take a doll from an abandoned village house. Never step into a circle of paper money at a crossroads...

Behind every seemingly insignificant folk taboo lurk vengeful spirits and inescapable curses.

Some refuse to believe in the supernatural and break the rules on a whim, angering the sinister forces. From then on, ghosts and monsters torment them day and night, inflicting an unseen and terrifying vengeance.

Each chapter of this book tells a standalone tale of the uncanny, recording the horrifying fates of countless people who violated taboos. Those folk customs that everyone ignores offer no way back once broken.
