Leiwang Star put a bounty on her. When Inaya was caught by chance and heard how much she was worth, she laughed in relief. “Fine, I accept.”
When she met her former master again, Inaya asked in confusion, “Your Highness, don't you remember the promise we made?”
The young man wore a mask that covered the upper half of his face. His tone gave nothing away. “A promise? You mean the one where you left me without permission? Who said you could leave?”
“Lei Zhe may be beautiful, but I'm no hero, am I?” Inaya wondered to herself. “Is it really appropriate to rescue a beauty?”
