The Nanyang Cat Pact

[Southern Archives] Original female protagonist & Zhang Haixia & Zhang Hailou. OOC warning.

Modern girl Lin Beiyu is gifted a mysterious necklace for her kindness. During a blood-red full moon, she transmigrates to Nanyang in Southern Archives and turns into a white cat with blue-green heterochromatic eyes.

Trapped in a cat’s body, she can briefly return to human form when her mind or will grows scattered. The fate of the world in the book is already set. To change the tragedies that befall Zhang Haixia and the others, she must either redirect the harm they suffer or pay with her own life.

Relying on her ability to hear the whispers of all things and foresee danger, she follows Zhang Haixia and Zhang Hailou as they investigate cases, repeatedly wearing herself down to protect her companions. She also helps living creatures and accumulates the blessings of nature, all in the hope of breaking free from the constraints of her feline form.

A story of a contract that begins with kindness and comes at the price of sacrifice, revealing that all living things have a spirit, and tenderness can stand against fate.
