Alien civilization + the Western Regions of the Western Han + heroine's growth + lighthearted power fantasy
Ai Shuangshuang, an intelligent lifeform from the Singer Planet, is piloting a spaceship past Earth when it is accidentally struck by a comet.
The ship goes out of control, forcing her to crash into a cave deep in the southern Qinling Mountains. The ship's core components, however, are scattered across a thousand miles, landing in the Xiongnu royal court, the Wusun capital, and various kingdoms of the Western Regions.
Nine years pass. Ai Shuangshuang rebuilds her body in the cave, and when she awakens, she has become a thirteen-year-old girl named Feng Liao.
To recover the core and return to the stars, she has no choice but to embark on a journey to find it.
In Chang'an, she joins Princess Jieyou and resolutely sets out west on the journey to Wusun to marry into its royal family.
What began as a treasure hunt to “go home” becomes a journey through which she comes to understand “human nature.”
When faced with a difficult problem, she activates her scanner. Others think she's merely calculating things with her fingers, and are amazed: “Lady Feng is a master of supernatural foresight!”
When the Xiongnu make things difficult and Wusun falls into turmoil, she uses wisdom far beyond her time to negotiate. The kingdoms of the Western Regions honor her as “Madam Feng”: “The Han princess has a celestial maiden to help her!”
She forms a deep friendship with Princess Jieyou and, through their mutual support, comes to understand the meaning of “home and country.” From enemies to kindred spirits, she and the Hu girl Nayiba learn the value of “trust and loyalty.”
She goes from a “lazybones” who only wants enough to eat to a “female diplomat” who plans several moves ahead;
from a “machine” that understands only binary logic to a “person” with the world and her country in her heart.
When the spaceship's core is finally complete, Feng Liao looks at the increasingly powerful Han presence in the Western Regions and falls into deep thought...
“At first, I wanted to go home. Now, this is home.”
