[A sweet, angst-free story of mutual devotion, with an older man and a five-year age gap]
Twenty-six-year-old Lu Xu meets twenty-one-year-old Wen Zhixia.
Lu Xu is the youngest engineering designer, and Wen Zhixia is a sophomore studying visual communication.
He gives her material to work with, and she heals him.
At first, Lu Xu is a perfect gentleman. Later, he turns into a clingy little puppy, begging Wen Zhixia to dote on him every day.
At their wedding, he says: “Thank you for coming into my world. You are my light, and you’ve filled my world with color.”
She says: “And thank you for helping me grow and teaching me what love is. We’ve made each other better.”
A little scene from "Summer Days with Lu Xu":
One time, Lu Xu got jealous and said to Wen Zhixia in a hoarse voice,
“Wife, don’t just say I should tell you what’s on my mind. You should say it too. Tell me you want me.”
“Lu Xu, don’t be like this…”
“Wife, do you not love me?”
Afterward, Lu Xu punished Wen Zhixia very harshly.
He coaxed her into saying all sorts of things he wanted to hear.
“Lu Xu, I’m never speaking to you again!”
“Wife, I was wrong. Don’t be mad.”
In reality, he’d do it again next time, and more than once.
