Su Nian, a professor of criminal psychology, wakes up to find herself trapped in an infinite horror game.
Other people enter an instance and scream, run away, or cling to someone stronger.
Su Nian enters one, crouches beside a corpse to examine the bloodstains, then turns to the monster and says:
“You’ve got blue paint under your fingernails. You were a painter when you were alive, right? Your coworker pushed you off a building and you fell to your death? Take it up with the person who did it. Why are you coming after me?”
The monster: ??? Have you no manners?
Before long, everyone in the game knows a lunatic has arrived, one who can talk a boss into a breakdown.
Then, in an S-rank instance, she discovers that the monsters are recreating unsolved serial murder cases from the real world.
And her lost memories point to an even greater conspiracy…
No romance. The heroine is cool-headed and crazed, focused on her work. She’s sharp, and the action never lets up.
