Synopsis

[Urban high martial arts + nightmare invasion + monster-slaying and leveling up + a young savior]

Are there really people with mental illnesses in this world?

Perhaps those called “madmen” have simply seen the truth before ordinary people.

Beneath the night sky, in the shadows of the city, monsters known as “Nightmares” are awakening.

Born of fear, they devour human emotions and quietly grow within countless people’s dreams.

Eighteen-year-old Lu Yu enters a mysterious psychiatric hospital after an accident.

After that, he encounters patients who defy explanation, hears whispers from beyond this world, and discovers that

what people call mental illness is merely the precursor to a Nightmare invasion.

To save those swallowed by darkness, he takes up a blade and ventures into the abyss no one else dares to face.

At the heart of the city, a colossal black monster descends, blotting out the sky.

The boy stands atop the ruins. Moonlight glints in his eyes as a purple-gold radiance blooms from his hand.

“This blade is called the Nocturne in Six Movements.”

Why was the savior who rescued the world eighteen years ago forgotten by everyone?

And eighteen years later, whose power has Lu Yu, the sudden new star, inherited?

The Weavers of Ten Thousand Calamities, the Institute of Mental Health, mysterious supernatural organizations...

The truth hidden behind the world is slowly coming to light.

But Lu Yu only wants to protect those still struggling in pain.

“My life isn’t as romantic as you imagine.”

“And there’s no mental hospital inside my head.”

“All I have is a heart that wants to, protect the people and rid the world of evil.”

From the start, I think the protagonist was an intern at a hospital. Nobody could save the patient, but the protagonist used Taoist magic to do it. I think the protagonist was called Jiang Fan or Zhang Fan, but I can't remember.
