Everyone knows that Prince Jing, Xiao Jinghuai, is the most useless playboy in the capital, while General Huo Wujiao, the Northern Guardian, is His Majesty’s sharpest blade.
No one knows that the playboy is the master of the Embroidered Uniform Guard, an intelligence network that controls information across the realm, while the blade is the emperor’s most trusted commander of the secret guards.
One hides his true abilities to investigate the cause of his mother’s death; the other acts decisively and ruthlessly to cleanse the court. Fate binds them together through a bizarre tribute case.

“You’re the ‘way home’ I’d gladly die for.”
