Fallen in a Foreign Land: The Pure-Hearted Younger Man Kisses Only the Rose

[Cross-cultural romance | Both leads are inexperienced | Younger man | Love at first sight | Escape and redemption]

(An innocent foreign boy and a radiant, resilient rose)

During an overseas graduation trip, college student Xu Shiyan is kidnapped by a gang and locked away in a lightless prison.

Her companions abandon her, and the people around her are killed one after another. Just when she's in mortal danger, a foreign boy with beautiful eyes reaches out to help her.

He leads her out of hell, giving up everything he has to keep her safe.

When someone tries to break the rose, he stubbornly protects her, determined to preserve her fragrance.

Five years ago, Ah Hesi helped her escape a land torn apart by riots.

“Ah Hesi, let's leave together.”

At the brink of life and death, he pushed her toward the light, then turned and walked away. The boy's back was thin, and his last words were, “Keep going. Don't look back.”

Five years later, Xu Shiyan suffers from anxiety and depression, tormented by nightmares.

He crosses a vast distance to come to China, finally reuniting with the Eastern girl who captured his heart at first sight.

(The leads are ordinary people, not powerful figures, princes, or princesses. This isn't a story about a powerful female lead, but about a young cross-cultural couple who save each other.)
