In the spring of 1997, 17-year-old Chen Haonan, whose parents died unexpectedly, came to Hong Kong from Shenzhen to live with his uncle and lived in the Kowloon Walled City that was about to be demolished. While delivering food in the maze-like alleyways, he met stowaways, young and Dangerous boys, street girls and persistent old craftsmen. This summer, he must find his own way to survive in the countdown to this lawless city.
