Back to 2010 with Ronaldo and the Big Brother, Sweeping South Africa

[This novel is solely here to give Cristiano Ronaldo the World Cup he deserves]

At the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Cristiano Ronaldo plays his final match for Portugal.

Portugal 0–1 Spain.

In the stands,

Lin Zhiyuan, a 38-year-old Chinese-Portuguese technical adviser for Portugal, retires in tears. That night, his heart stops.

When he opens his eyes, he's sitting in the Portuguese Football Federation's Lisbon office in 2010.

“Mr. Lin Zhiyuan is hereby appointed head coach of the Portugal national team for the World Cup in South Africa.”

The System gives him a superpower: during the World Cup, any player taking part will automatically return to the peak physical condition of their career.

So he calls up veterans like Figo, Costa, and Deco...

Federation officials fly into a rage:

“Figo, Rui Costa! You know they've both retired, right?”

“Conceicao! He's thirty-four and wasting his time in Greece!”

“Deco's warming the bench at Chelsea. What the hell are you sending them to South Africa for?! To sightsee?”

The list of 23 players is torn to shreds...

Everyone thinks it will be the veterans' farewell performance.

Then 37-year-old Figo breaks through down the wing and scores all on his own...
