Six-year-old Yaya knows two secrets.
The first secret is that my mother's songs will never be finished.
When the song "Baby" coaxed her to sleep, she would stop singing every time she sang the second to last verse. She asked about the last sentence, and her mother said she had forgotten it. But she later listened to the complete song, and the last line was to praise the baby - either her mother had forgotten it, or she couldn't sing it.
From beginning to end, that song was sung to two people: one in the arms, and the other in the sea water 500 million years ago.
The second secret is that she has a sister.
A jellyfish will appear out of thin air on the museum's jellyfish wall, deep sea moss will grow in the cracks in the kitchen overnight, and my mother's knuckles will make a soft sound like wood cracking at night. The purple spots on the back of the hand are getting bigger and bigger, and the frequency of beating is exactly the same as the breathing of the formation 500 million years ago.
Until the tips of the red and blue crayons touched lightly, she fell into the deep Cambrian sea and saw the soft red light - that was her sister, but her mother said that she never existed.
Trilobites with missing shells, grotesque insects with broken spines, and blind Orbin sea scorpions, a group of weak creatures became her partners; a group of luminous jellyfish pursued her relentlessly, which was the absolute order of this ancient ocean.
Four crayons are her only weapons. Drawing circles can be used as shields, and drawing lines can be used as pathways.
But the price of all this has already quietly fallen on the person you love most.
When she draws a shield and opens a purple door, her mother's fingertips will have a grain of wood and her left arm will become stronger.
She wanted to bring home the red sister in the deep sea, but it wasn't until her fingertips passed through the translucent shadow that she finally understood——
We never have time, we just wander through it.
