A modern major-crimes detective's soul enters an alternate dynasty. He becomes a low-ranking constable in the Xuancha Guard, with no salary at all, then activates the Great Detective Martial God System on the brink of death!
Forensic examinations and manhunts, crime-scene reconstructions, and the power of a Martial God: every element is turned up to the max. The massacre of a wealthy merchant's family, bizarre cases on the grain routes, and corruption in the imperial examinations all lead to one twist after another.
The Black Crow Hall conceals secrets from his father's generation, while the Xuanyin Pavilion uses evil arts to wreak havoc across the land.
Armed with an imperial warrant to investigate, he can execute first and report afterward! He builds an underground intelligence network and gathers alluring women from the martial world. From a small-time constable in Qingxi, he fights his way up to become the realm's Great Commander of the Xuancha Guard, crushes Kunlun Guixu, and slays the world-ending evil god with a single stroke! He never has to suffer indignities: every case he solves makes him stronger!
A pretty good book
