In the ancient southern town "Zhenyun Town", people who have lived there for generations do not know that the clouds that linger all year round in the town are actually "wind memory containers" - every wind that passes through the streets will rub the regrets, secrets and unspoken words of passers-by into the clouds and seal them away. The protagonist Lin Wei is a craftsman who restores old things. One day when he was repairing an old umbrella from the Republic of China, moist clouds suddenly leaked out of the umbrella ribs. The wind wrapped a woman's voice in his ear and said: "Tomorrow at Mao o'clock, the peach blossoms at the ferry will bloom for the third time."
From then on, Lin Wei found that he could "read" the clouds of memories related to old things: hidden in the restored old pocket watch was the confession that the boy missed in 1987; on the renovated old wooden windows were the choked sobs of his mother when she sent her son to join the army during the Anti-Japanese War. As the number of memories he read increased, he gradually realized that these memories preserved by the wind were not static - the clouds would "play back" at specific moments, giving those who missed it a chance to meet again and regrets having a chance to be rewritten.
