Thirty-one years of the Cataclysm Era.
A global geological and radiation disaster swept the world. Most of the cities in the old era were reduced to wastelands, and radiation zones and mutated wild animals were scattered all over the wilderness. Humanity retreated to nine wartime special zones, controlled by the coalition government.
Outside the nine special zones, large areas without control are collectively referred to as areas to be planned. There is no complete law here, the weak eat the strong, the black market is rampant, and human life is cheap.
The Ninth Special Zone is located in the northwest, with Songjiang as the core city.
The city is divided into three major sections: the regular urban area, the black street, and the dirt street.
Formal urban areas: Government Affairs Department, Security Bureau, Police Department, official order is strict, and food quota system is implemented.
Black Street: A gray area where drug dealers, smuggling and underground transactions gather together. It is under the control of the police during the day and controlled by local snakes at night.
Trash Street: a gathering place for poor people, a mixed bag of good and bad, and frequent violent conflicts.
Male protagonist: Qin Yu, 23 years old, grew up in the planned area, has a calm mind, is ruthless, cautious, and knows how to be patient. He carries an old three-barrel revolver with him.
The main plot of the early stage: Qin Yu breaks out from the chaotic area to be planned, spends money to buy the Ninth Special Zone Police Department and becomes a grassroots police officer, and climbs up step by step amid factional struggles, underworld games, local gangsters and external forces.
Writing style: Short and realistic sentences, colloquial dialogue, depressing rhythm, more realistic underworld + apocalyptic police and gangster style, no fantasy powers.
