The Japanese mistake battlefield nurse Shen Zhao for an enemy spy and throw her into the interrogation room, with assault team leader Huo Lin overseeing her arrest. He has no idea that she is “Snowy Owl,” the theater commander in control of the entire operation. When she saves his gravely wounded comrade with a blood-written code, when Deputy Director Zhou Yan’s betrayal threatens to surface, and when her old enemy Ke Zheng picks up her trail, she must use a medical record, a string of code, and the courage of an orphan to turn the tide of the entire war amid the storm surrounding her identity. Huo Lin will eventually discover that the spy he hates most is the commander he should be protecting above all.
