His Obsessive Love Couldn’t Keep Her from Leaving

[Bittersweet coming-of-age + slow pacing + happy ending]

Slow-to-open heroine x steadfast hero

Chen Zhu runs into a childhood friend in Huixiang.

He blocks the entrance to her dorm and asks if she remembers the promise they made as children.

She avoids him, but he keeps drawing closer.

He gives her all his special affection.

Psychology says the heart is partial, and so is love.

Since childhood, she has always been the one no one loved.

So she thinks it’s unfair. What happens to the people who aren’t loved?

But when that special affection falls on her, she is doubtful and at a loss.

She even thinks this love is nothing more than a bond from childhood.

She goes to many places and meets many people.

But no one is like him.

It turns out she, too, has been giving someone her special affection.

Someone sends Chen Yang a WeChat friend request, with a very strange verification message.

[I’m Mom.]

Chen Yang is about to block them on the spot.

But the next second, the person says her name is Chen Zhu.

The girl who always wore a smile deep in his heart.

The first time he sees her again as an adult, she is standing quietly at the side of a somewhat weathered road.

Chen Yang looks at her, and a sudden ache rises in his heart.

He never answers calls from unknown numbers.

But that night, in the middle of the night, he makes an exception and answers a call from overseas.

The person on the other end says nothing for a long time, so long that he is about to hang up.

Then the caller says, “I hope everything goes well for you.”
