Nightmares appeared out of thin air and began hunting humans in a frenzy.
Thirty percent of the population awakened armor. After two hundred years of fighting in rivers of blood, they finally suppressed the Nightmares.
Everyone thought the worst of times had passed.
Then Chen Fan was born, and the Nightmares went berserk again.
On the day Chen Fan awakened, the System spoke in his mind: "This is a game played by the gods. You are the fourth proxy."
Five years, from Awakened to Godslayer.
Five years, from Thunderbolt Armor to Godbane Armor.
Five years, from "I will protect everyone" to "I will make you pay with your lives."
The day Lin Jin died, he pressed the Blazing Sky Armor into Chen Fan's chest.
"Kill every last one of those bastards."
From then on, Nightmares were no longer the only things on his battlefield.
Monsters were no longer his only enemies.
His goal: kill the gods.
Thunderbolt breaks the dawn, Azure Tide calms the seas, Spirit Pivot reaches the profound, Swift Shadow claims lives, and Blazing Sky burns the heavens. Five armors unite, and Godbane descends. Thus begins the Godslayer Era.
