Dream of the Capital: My Fair Princess

Before she turned eighteen, she was a wild cloud drifting freely between Cangshan and Erhai, bound by nothing.

After she turned eighteen, she became the honored Princess Yinyu at Qianlong's side, trapped in a gilded cage.

A secret imperial decree summons Nan'er, the daughter of Yongqi and Xiaoyanzi, from Dali to the imperial palace. She thinks she has been called to enjoy the emperor's affection, but it is only the beginning of a political maelstrom.

She has known the truest hearts and endured the coldest arrows. She has tasted betrayal in friendship and the emptiness of love.

When this beautiful dream called “The Journey to the Capital” ends, the red walls remain unchanged, but the hearts within them have grown old.

Only after shedding her finery and returning home barefoot does she learn that the best things in life are simple joys.
