Violent, unhinged maid × villain with a devoted-husband vibe
Double contrast + villainous leads + BG romance + interstellar sentinel-and-guide setting + a fresh take on the insect race + butterfly-style villain development + mantis male lead (the kind who wants his wife to eat him later) + a growing female lead (not a power fantasy from the start, and not a good person later on either)
An accident brings Ji Shu to an unfamiliar interstellar world, where she begins a perilous life of “working”: keeping her head down to survive, raising a villain, and taking down the Federation!
Ji Shu: “System, your villain seems perfectly normal. What bug is there?”
Gray: “Shu, can you give me a hug?”
Ji Shu: “You’re cooking. You reek of cooking oil. Get away from me!”
System: The Host’s enjoying the good life and forgetting where she came from. Electrocute her!
Ji Shu: “You dare electrocute me, and I’ll toy with your villain and hurt your heroine. Come on, I’ll take my time playing with you…”
[If insect-race themes or villainous women aren’t your thing, feel free to leave. The female lead develops like a butterfly, in a highly unconventional way, and changes dramatically between the early and later story.]
I watched this when I couldn't sleep in the early morning. After getting through the long description at the beginning, it was much better. The subject matter is relatively new, and I am a little curious about the plot behind it [plus one on the bookshelf]. Let me give you five stars to encourage you. Don't stop updating 😠
