Wu Lin died. After seven days and seven nights of working on his thesis, he dropped dead at his desk.
When he opened his eyes again, he was a poor scholar in Wujiang County, Great Yong. His father was a low-ranking clerk who was afraid of his wife; his mother was a tigress at home. The family had nothing, and the original owner had died after getting so worked up during an argument that he suffered a fit of rage.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Take the imperial exams, develop printing, improve farm tools. One thing at a time.
It wasn’t until he attended a literary gathering that he discovered something astonishing:
This world had no Li Bai, no Du Fu, and no Su Dongpo.
Three thousand years of Chinese poetry and prose were a blank slate here.
Wu Lin: Then I won’t hold back.
With one “Prelude to Water Melody,” he leaves Jiangnan’s talented scholars bowing their heads.
With one “Memorial to Yueyang Tower,” he moves the emperor on the golden throne.
From a poor scholar to the empire’s chief minister, he turns all of Great Yong upside down.
There is just one thing he has never been able to figure out.
Why does the regent princess, who holds power over the court and kills without blinking, always look at him so strangely?
One moment she suppresses him, the next she secretly protects him. Then she coldly demotes him and sends him out of the capital, only to stand on the city wall all night afterward.
It isn’t until the night of the palace coup, when he leads troops into the Hall of Supreme Harmony, that he hears the gravely wounded princess murmuring through her fever:
“This time... I kept it safe...”
Only then does Wu Lin realize.
So she’s been given another chance at life, too?
A poor scholar who transmigrated with the complete collection of Tang poetry.
A regent princess carrying the memories of her past life.
From bickering enemies, through one misunderstanding after another, to standing together to rule the realm.
Across ten thousand miles of mountains and rivers, how fortunate that it was you.
Not bad. .
Very pretty 👍
