[Su Shi]
At thirty-five, my fiancé of seven years and I are making all the usual wedding preparations.
Everyone envies me for having such a respectable match, until the company brings in Zhang Huaimin, a star partner five years younger than me.
He’s arrogant and ruthless, but after work he’s a single father raising a nine-year-old son.
I should have kept my distance.
But on the stormy night I took off my engagement ring, in the cramped, empty car, he wouldn’t let me get out.
Reason was sounding the alarm in my head, but when I saw the undisguised desire in his eyes,
all I wanted in that moment was to drag him down with me.
[Zhang Huaimin]
A foolish mistake at twenty made me a single father who settled down far too soon.
I was used to being a heartless blade at work, until I met Su Shi.
She was poised and warm, but numbed herself with an engagement that was all but suffocating her.
I knew crossing the line was a sin, but I could no longer hold back the madness in my bones.
Her name is Su Shi. My name is Zhang Huaimin.
An ancient poet wrote: “With no one to share the fun, I went to Chengtian Temple to seek out Zhang Huaimin.”
One night, when the whole company was empty except for the two of us, I lit up my screen and sent the forbidden message I’d been planning for so long:
[Ms. Su, Huaimin is still awake too. Want to have a drink together?]
First time watching dual perspective. After the story is told from the female protagonist's perspective, it will be told again from the male protagonist's perspective. I think everyone should learn from the heroine's bravery and timely stopping of losses. Chase love bravely when faced with likes, step back in time when faced with mistakes, don't be internally frustrated and fearless, and always believe that everything will be better. The writing is delicate, the emotions are rich, the plot is smooth and not obtrusive, and it's quite enjoyable to read.
