"Take official history as the bones and details as the flesh." Without changing the basis of historical facts, fine-tune the narrative order, enhance the tension of the story, and make the story closer.
The opening chapter begins with King Ping migrating eastward, focusing on the sense of conflict in the early Spring and Autumn Period, and a strong classic historical plot. The following article continues to tell the truth about big things and not about small things. It fully lays out the major historical facts such as Zheng Beke's Duan Yu Yan, Zheng Zhuanggong's step-by-step appeasement and support of traitors, an arrow shot at King Huan of Zhou in the Battle of Suige, the authority of the Emperor of Zhou fell sharply, it was difficult to break the blood and family ties when digging into the ground, and the Qin State's determination to advance eastwards and become stronger.
The main text begins with the turbulent situation when King Zhou Ping moved eastward and the two kings co-existed, and ends with the strong rise of Zheng and the distorted clan marriage and love relationships of Wei. Then it describes the dramatic and conflicting stories such as Duke Huan of Qi returning to seize the throne, Bao Shuya strongly recommending Guan Zhong to achieve hegemony, Xi's concubine marrying far away and stirring up disputes among the three kingdoms of Xi, Cai and Chu.
For all major historical events, only the characters' inner thoughts, human motivations, and conflicts will be subject to reasonable artistic processing and changes.
