After the Red Moon, Ukuna disappeared.
The Quake race has no records of the Red Moon, and neither does the Dark race. The only clue comes from a cryptic remark by the Vampire race: “What you’re looking for is with the Dark race.”
Mi Yaxing enters the territory of the Dark race as an envoy, only to find that it’s nothing like he imagined. There are no gloomy fortresses, only canyons lit by cool-colored spirit stones. There is no lingering terror of the Dark Emperor, only a society rebuilding its order. And the head of the Leidouros family, who stands behind it all, happens to be another “black Quake hybrid, missing for years and finally found.”
Step by step, he draws closer to the truth, only to discover that the answer isn’t all that awaits him at the end.
Canon ships broken up; Mi Yaxing × Ukuna. Slow burn, mystery-driven, emotionally restrained.
The author has great literary talent, delicate characterization, and vivid and rich narration. Some sentences give the illusion of reading a Chinese language book. Highly recommended.
Great support from the author, looking forward to the follow-up
