How to Become the Male Lead in a Women's Romance Novel

As everyone knows, male leads in romance novels for women have all the following qualities:

1. Wealth

2. Power

3. Strength

4. Handsome, very handsome, incredibly handsome...

5. Key point: they can’t be too mentally stable!!!

My mother is the daughter of a wealthy merchant from Jinling, and my father is the current Marquis of Dingyuan. I’m not bad-looking, either.

As the legitimate second son of the Marquis of Dingyuan’s household,

I’m rich but powerless, and reasonably handsome. Most importantly, I’m perfectly sane...

A rich, powerless, reasonably handsome man with a normal brain.

With a setup like that, in a romance novel for women I’d only be a supporting male character who serves as a resource-packed blood bag for the heroine.

But I’m about to marry the heroine, and once the real male lead shows up, I’m sure to get the full treatment: my family will be destroyed and I’ll be exiled.

So here’s the question: what should I do!

After realizing that the woman he was about to marry seemed to run into danger every day, yet always emerged unscathed, Jiang Lixian kept pondering that question.
