On the edge of the old city, there is a seven-story old building that is about to be demolished.
The elevator has been broken for many years, and the lights in the corridor are always dimly lit. There is an office on the third floor, and an old sign hangs at the door:
"Nine-Level Firm"
There is also a line of small words below the brand:
"No matter what."
In fact, they lacked everything. Lack of money, lack of customers, lack of serious qualifications, lack of a roof that won't leak. But they have no shortage of trouble. Trouble will find itself.
The business handled by the firm includes:
- Evidence collection and mediation for wage arrears, debt arrears, and contract disputes.
- Search for missing persons, lost items, and scam clues.
- Investigation of fake intermediaries, fake goods, fake charities, and fake projects.
- Ridiculous commissions from film crews, night markets, urban villages, and small companies.
- Small cases where ordinary people don't know who to call and don't dare to make things bigger.
Each unit case seems absurd, but there is a bit of bitterness of reality hidden behind it; the solution of each case is not to "defeat the bad guys", but to dig out the suppressed truth, evidence, dignity and way out.
