Her Darkness, His Medal

Shen Zhiyuan died on the day Lu Yanheng won his award.

Before her death, she went blind, was saddled with a terrible reputation, and even her only younger brother was sent away by Lu Yanheng himself, his whereabouts unknown.

Reborn, she becomes Gu Qing’er, the real daughter of the top-tier Gu family, who had been missing for years.

And he is at the height of his career, known as the “Iron-Faced Judge.”

She smiles and walks up to him. “Mr. Lu, I’ve heard so much about you.”

He has no idea that the woman who has captured his heart is the very person he killed with his own hands.

She helps him avoid pitfalls, catch the company’s mole, and climb step by step to the top of the business world.

He thinks she is his light.

She is simply raising a pig, fattening it up before the slaughter.

At the awards ceremony, broadcast live around the world, he accepts the trophy with confidence and says to her, “I couldn’t have made it here without you.”

She picks up the microphone and speaks with a smile:

“My name is Shen Zhiyuan.”

“The honors of your life were bought with my life and my younger brother’s future.”

“Now, in front of the whole world, do you still want this medal?”

He falls to his knees before her, begging her to let him make it up to her for the rest of his life.

She looks down at him and says, word by word:

“I don’t need your apology. I don’t want the rest of your life.”

She turns and walks away, never looking back.

Later, she finds her younger brother, finds new love, and graces the cover of Forbes.

He, meanwhile, spends the rest of his life trapped in a sanatorium, writing her name on the walls.

She spends a lifetime proving one thing:

The best revenge isn’t making him die.

It’s making him live and watch her shine.
