Beast Taming: What Do You Mean My Bond with Spirits Is a Card Deck?

[Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfic + Pokemon-like world + System + tournaments + a little bit of everything?]

You Xie gets launched into the air by a truck and lands in a beast-taming world where humans and spirits live in harmony.

In this world, as long as you have a Pokémon and build a friendship and bond with it, you get a basic living allowance and can live comfortably without worrying about food or clothes. You can lie flat in style!

“No way! I refuse!”

You Xie takes the beginner's Starter Pokémon selection voucher in hand and promptly sacrifices it to the System in exchange for a Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Disk!

“You Xie is a genius! He actually destroyed his Starter Pokémon selection voucher! Is he planning to head into the Beast-Taming Forest alone to catch a rare spirit?”

“You Xie is done for! Without a Starter Pokémon to rely on, he can't get the national beast-tamer's living allowance. Forget taking the advanced beast-taming entrance exam, he won't even have anything to eat!”

As everyone argues over whether You Xie is a genius or a fool, he simply starts up his Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Disk in silence.

“My turn, draw!”

Of course, I have spirits!

“I summon Speed Warrior and Junk Synchron to tune!”

As a devoted fan of Junk decks in my previous life, in this life I'll put all my strength into showing the world my invincible Junk spirit!

“The gathered stars awaken the power of new life. Become the shining path!”

“Synchro Summon! Appear, Junk Warrior!”

Pets? Pokémon? And you call yourself a king?

“Go, Junk Warrior!”

“Scrap Fist!”
