Snow Blankets the Cold River

Among his father's belongings, he found a letter to the family. It contained just eight words: “Cold Crow Crossing, broken blade sunk in the river, let the past lie.” He didn't understand what “broken blade sunk in the river” meant, so he set out on a journey to find the blade. At a teahouse at Cold Crow Crossing, he met Tao Chenzhou, Jiang Henian, Lu Nianbai, and the old teahouse keeper. Over the course of a snowy day, he gradually pieced together the story of his father's life.
