In the Name of the People: Qi Tongwei’s Brother-in-Law Is No Simple Man

Everyone laughed at auxiliary police officer Chu Yunlong for riding on Qi Tongwei’s coattails and using his connection to the man who “outdid Heaven by half a move” to get by in Handong. In truth, he was undercover, biding his time and secretly gathering evidence, ready to topple the web of corruption surrounding Shanshui Group, Dafeng Factory, and Luzhou Food City.

Sha Ruijin held the reins in Handong, keeping the larger picture in balance, while Tian Guofu enforced discipline with an iron hand. Gao Yuliang was torn between personal ties and principle within the political and legal circles. Hou Liangping held fast to his principles and dug deep into corruption. Qi Tongwei staked everything on changing his fate. Zhao Ruilong and Gao Xiaoqin controlled Shanshui Manor, secretly laying out their schemes. The 1/16 Incident, Chen Hai’s car crash, and a stock-fraud scheme unfolded one after another.

As an auxiliary officer, Chu Yunlong walked a knife’s edge, checking the books, unraveling schemes, and testing people at banquets, stirring up the struggle between the Sha and Li factions. He tore away the mask of the protectors behind the scenes and cleared Dafeng Factory’s name. A small-time nobody entered the game and broke it open, and the battle between good and evil in Handong was officially underway.
