The Mad Fatekeeper

The counter broke three years ago, but I’ve been doing better than anyone.

The people in the Mad Zone call me a witch. The people in the Quiet Zone call me a virus. I only want to protect the theater my grandfather left me, but the developers have given me just seven days.

I dig three things out from the bottom of a box: a shadow puppet, a Nuo mask, and a pair of scissors. The craft passed down by my ancestors becomes the only way to fight the rules.

The price is this: every time I walk through the mortal world, there’s one more me in the mirror.
