The sun was so hot that the leaves of the old locust tree at the entrance of the village wilted.
Li Chen squatted under the roots of the tree, squinting to watch the ants move. There was a glistening line of saliva hanging from the corner of his mouth. He looked no different from the fool in the village.
"Idiot! Go on!"
A stone as big as a fist whizzed towards him and headed straight for the back of his head.
Li Chen swayed, as if he had been bitten by a mosquito, and took a half step to the side. The stone flew past his ears and hit the earth wall behind him with a muffled sound.
"Hey, this fool is so lucky." Wang Tiezhu stood ten steps away with his hands on his hips and another stone in his hand, with a look of reluctance on his face.
Li Chen turned around, grinned at him, and drooled even longer
