My Ex and My Current Boyfriend Have Started Fighting Again and Again

Two male leads + love triangle + intense romantic tension + funny daily life + mildly creepy supernatural elements + happy ending + past and present lives + all kinds of identity reversals

Ji Mingqiu was born with Yin-Yang Eyes. He makes a living guiding spirits to the afterlife and keeps a black cat that can travel between the worlds of the living and the dead. His life is carefree, with a touch of roguish charm. That is, until he saves Qi Yuan, an Imperial Fiend being hunted down: an ancient emperor who died two thousand years ago and turned into a malevolent spirit while waiting for his beloved. After they become bound to each other, Qi Yuan sticks by Ji Mingqiu, warding off evil and keeping him safe like a clingy guardian spirit he can't shake. Ji Mingqiu complains that he's a nuisance, but when he stays up late drawing talismans, he lets Qi Yuan sit beside him and watch.

Qin Yu sees things differently. As deputy director of the Special Affairs Bureau, he's convinced that Qi Yuan is a malevolent spirit who harms people. He hunts him down at every turn, and resents Ji Mingqiu for protecting an evil spirit. One case follows another: Ji Mingqiu shields Qi Yuan while Qin Yu closes in. Yet whenever Ji Mingqiu is in danger, it's always Qin Yu who rushes in first to dig him out of the rubble, his hands trembling so badly he can barely hold him. As the three become entangled, the truth is gradually revealed: Qi Yuan is merely a fragment of an obsession, while Qin Yu is the true reincarnation of Qi Yuan. And Ji Mingqiu is Shen Zhuo, the one Qi Yuan has waited two thousand years for. Both the original and the fragment love him, leaving him torn between two burning passions.

In a decisive battle that brings them to the Bureau's headquarters, Qi Yuan pours the power of his two-thousand-year-old obsession into the jade pendant sealing Shen Zhuo's soul. It frees Shen Zhuo and shatters the lock on Qin Yu's memories.

The obsession flows back into its source, and Qi Yuan and Qin Yu become one. From then on, there is one more person in the feng shui shop on Luoma Lane.

After two thousand years of waiting, they finally embrace in this life...
