[Mortal Cultivation] [Good-for-Nothing's Rise] [Cultivation with Mixed Spiritual Roots] [A Censer Turns Trash into Treasure] [A Lowborn Boy's Path to Immortality]
To avoid being conscripted by the imperial court, Lin Xiaobai, the son of a farming family, is sent by his parents to take refuge at Baiyun Temple.
While cleaning an abandoned old building, he unexpectedly finds a mysterious ancient furnace that neither gets wet nor gathers dust.
He thought he was just doing odd jobs at an ordinary temple, but discovers that Baiyun Temple hides a secret: it is a place where spiritual-rooted disciples are selected for the Immortal Sects.
Days later, an Immortal Sect's flying boat arrives. At the Spirit-Test Platform, Lin Xiaobai is found to have the most useless five-element mixed spiritual roots. Everyone declares his path to immortality over, saying he can only become the sect's lowest-ranking servant.
Everyone laughs at his poor aptitude, convinced he will never achieve the Great Dao.
But no one knows that the ancient furnace in his hands can refine all things, turning rot into spiritual energy!
So what if he has five-element mixed spiritual roots?
With a good-for-nothing foundation, he will defy fate and attain the Dao.
Even those born with peerless heavenly spiritual roots will be overtaken by him on the bends, left far behind.
I couldn't stand it anymore after reading Chapter 5. The male protagonist listens to the corner: Others say that the immortal messenger is coming to collect the boy. The male protagonist inexplicably coveted the old temple master's incense burner, and then used the excuse of the immortal messenger to collect the boy, and stole the incense burner to feel more at ease. The male protagonist still despises the arrival of the immortal messenger. Why steal the incense burner? Did the male protagonist read the script, or did I imagine that the Immortal Messenger wanted to train a few children with spiritual roots to seize the body? Then this plot step doesn't make much sense. It was very baffling, and it also made me so angry that I couldn't even speak clearly.
