Chen Mo starts in the yellow corridors of Level 0. Along the way, he meets companions, joins an organization, and learns how to survive. Then he discovers that the organization meant to protect him, MEG, treats people as tools. Once they're used up, they can be thrown away.
He chooses to leave, facing the endless, distorted spaces alone.
Until, in a basement on Level 9, he finds someone: a person who nearly became a Wretch, someone who made it out of hell alive.
Lin Yuan believes there's an exit. Chen Mo doesn't.
But the Backrooms doesn't care whether you believe or not. It only cares whether you keep going.
