The soul of Tang Xuan, a terminally ill orphan, travels to the Westward Journey, becomes the young Xuanzang, and awakens to the Journey to the West selection system. Unwilling to be a chess piece manipulated by Buddhism, he relied on the system to break through deadlocks repeatedly, cultivate supernatural powers, obtain spiritual treasures, slay demons and protect relatives, and secretly tamper with the fate of heaven and earth. He went against the will of heaven and rescued the Dragon King of Jinghe River, accumulated great strength, and saw through the schemes of gods and Buddhas. The holy monk who was supposed to follow the rules and go westward has since taken a different approach, using the body of an ordinary monk to subvert the Buddhist structure step by step and rewrite the planned ending of the entire journey to the west.
