Journey to the West: Reborn as Tang Sanzang, I Defy Heaven's Decree

Orphaned and suffering from a terminal illness, Tang Xuan transmigrates into the world of Journey to the West and becomes the young Xuanzang, awakening the Journey to the West Choice System. Unwilling to be a pawn controlled by Buddhism on the pilgrimage, he repeatedly escapes deadly traps with the System, cultivates divine abilities, acquires spiritual treasures, and slays demons to protect his loved ones, all while secretly rewriting the fate of Heaven and Earth. He saves the Jing River Dragon King against the will of Heaven, builds up formidable strength, and sees through the schemes of gods and Buddhas. The holy monk who should have followed the prescribed route westward now takes an unorthodox path, overturning Buddhism’s plans step by step with nothing but a mortal monk’s body and rewriting the predetermined ending of the entire Journey to the West.
