In a small county where the average monthly salary is 2,500 yuan, Li Qiye pays ordinary employees 8,000 yuan a month.

While companies everywhere deny their employees social insurance and housing fund benefits, Li Qiye gives his staff the full package, with the company contributing 12% to their housing funds.

Many civil servants earning 4,000 or 5,000 yuan a month find their salaries suddenly less appealing when they see a supermarket employee taking home 8,000 yuan.

The generous pay makes employees more diligent. They work of their own free will, and their smiles come from the heart.

Li Qiye buys an old soda factory and creates a nostalgic brand. He buys a dairy farm and turns it into a campground where children can feed calves, rabbits, and alpacas.

Little by little, people in the county grow wealthier and start spending. College graduates who return find that jobs are easier to get and pay better.

The villagers who stayed behind see their home gradually come back to life. The elderly are moved to tears: the bustling village of years ago has returned.
