He's Wicked and Crazy

A sunshine-bright yet sensitive heroine who fears love & a sensitive, insecure, gloomy, and obsessive hero

Reborn, Lu Ling only wants to stay as far away from Meng Huaijin as possible.

But fate insists on playing tricks on her. In this life, her memories often have gaps, so by a twist of fate she once again saves him when he is gravely injured, and once again falls hopelessly in love with him.

Faced with the young man's passionate confessions, she instinctively runs away, coming up with one high-minded excuse after another to keep him at arm's length.

Once, twice, three times.

Meng Huaijin doesn't argue or make a scene. He simply works himself to the bone day and night, saving up what he thinks he needs to earn the right to stand by her side.

Later, he chooses to leave her life.

But he underestimates his own longing and overestimates his ability to control his heart. Every day after he leaves, he watches her every move like a furtive voyeur who can't bear to be seen.

Three years later, at an interview event.

Lu Ling sits across from him, her gaze distant, as though she has never known him. At last, Meng Huaijin's final restraint snaps.

“Is the guy downstairs your boyfriend? Does he love you? Is he rich? Is he in great shape? Is he more handsome than me? Is he as obedient as I am?”

“Enough.”

“It's not enough! Lu Ling, why are you allowed to start a new relationship while I'm still trapped in the past? I...” The word “hate” is too heavy; he can't bring himself to hurl it at her. His voice catches, and all he can manage is, “I really hate you so much... I hate you so much.”

“Lu Ling, did you ever love me?”
