The Immortal Painter: The Legend of Cang Heng

(Revenge arc + angsty romance and entanglements + ensemble character growth)

The early story is lighthearted and witty, but things get angsty in the middle and later parts!

Betrayed by his closest friend, Cang Heng had the Red Square Jade stolen from him, was sealed inside a painting, and carelessly tossed over a ten-thousand-zhang cliff. He then slept for more than three hundred years.

After a coup at court, Zhao Qiying, the seventh prince of the Xi Dynasty, was pursued all the way to the cliff and happened to fall to its foot, awakening Cang Heng.

Neither had expected that a chance encounter between an immortal and a mortal would forge a life-and-death bond, entangling their fates from then on.

As time passed, the two joined forces and helped each other. Cang Heng gradually strengthened the clan of painting spirits, while Zhao Qiying reclaimed the throne. Just as everything seemed to be taking a turn for the better, that close friend quietly reappeared, shattering their hard-won peace.

It turned out that every event leading up to this had been carefully arranged. It was all a conspiracy.

After being used and betrayed once more, what path will Cang Heng choose now?
