Five Women, One Name

I, Shen Juan, talk about reinstalling the System, but can't bear to wipe my heart clean.

My friends call me “walking testosterone.” Women call me “a heartless player.”

They don't know that my emotional ports have long been occupied by a woman named Zhao Yan. I can't unplug her, and I can't shut her out.

I sign a dating contract with a cool, mature beauty (Lanyan). She thinks I'm just acting, but I'm looking for a patch to repair my System in her.

I share a bed with a hot young punk (Sese). She scolds me, “What is wrong with you?” because I'm staring at the ceiling, thinking about the conditioner Zhao Yan likes to use.

I play a forbidden game with a beautiful writer (Jiuwei). She calls out someone else's name, but all I see is Zhao Yan's face.

I'm like a madman, searching for the same soul in different women's bodies.

They all want in, but my System has blue-screened. No one can get through!

Then one day, the woman who had been occupying my port without letting go sent a text: “I'm sick.”

I quit my job, gave up my rental, and bought a train ticket to Anhui.

Du Qingcheng (the man who mirrors me) asked, “Are you going to find her to prove you love her, or to be there for her?”

I said, “It used to be the first. Now it's the second.”

I'm not going to win love back. I'm going to be there for her.
