After Wreaking Havoc in Heaven, I Owed Five Thousand Taels of Gold

Sun Wukong would never forget that day. He wrecked the Peach Banquet, smashed up the alchemy chamber, and looted the Celestial Court's treasury. Just as he was getting ready to return to Flower-Fruit Mountain and resume his title as the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, an old woman riding a crane blocked his path, an abacus in hand. "Three thousand taels for damage to the Peach Banquet venue, one thousand for repairs to the alchemy furnace, and one thousand for the losses from the treasury..." "Five thousand taels of gold in total. I'll put it on your tab." Sun Wukong: ??? Wait, isn't this how everyone causes havoc in the Celestial Court? Why do I have to pay for it??? Later, he was pinned beneath Five Elements Mountain, where seven fairies and a Chang'e spent every day pinching his cheeks and braiding his hair. Later still, he went with Tang Sanzang to fetch the scriptures. Every time he killed a demon on the road, someone behind him would pull out a ledger: "This one is three years behind on rent. Put it on your account to pay off the debt." Sun Wukong finally understood. The Great Sage Equal to Heaven, the Victorious Fighting Buddha... None of that mattered. He was simply the hardest-working wage slave in the Three Realms.
