Hanba, Bai Ze, Taowu, Zhulong, Yinglong... Strange beasts from the Classic of Mountains and Seas are on the attack. Watch as the protagonist goes from a student who has just graduated from high school to subduing all the beasts.
Late one night, a mutated black cat pounced on Lin Shi'an.
He grabbed a bottle and smashed the cat's head, only to find a faint golden mark on his palm.
The remnant soul of Lin Jue, the first Keeper of the Books, awakened within him, bringing two pieces of news: spiritual qi revival was underway, and the seals of the Classic of Mountains and Seas were weakening; the blood of a Keeper of the Books was the key to tearing them open.
The Sacrificial Sect soon came calling. An assassin disguised as an old woman laid a trap on the street, while packs of rats controlled by beast-driving arts surrounded Lin Shi'an's rental home in the dead of night.
Carrying his family's heirloom copy of the Classic of Mountains and Seas, Lin Shi'an fled into the mountains. With help from Bai Qingyuan, captain of the 749 Bureau, he joined the government's awakened-person organization. While searching for his girlfriend Su Wan, who had been kidnapped by the Sacrificial Sect, he also hunted for a Qilin blood jade that could suppress evil energy.
When he finally tracked Su Wan to the sect's base on Mount Hutou, only four days remained before the blood sacrifice.
And the shadow of the ancient disaster bird Yong Bird had already begun to loom over Yangcheng.
It's a very interesting book. I've been missing it for a long time, but I finally found one that I can read! Come on, author!
