[Tokusatsu + school life + memoir + dark horror]
This novel draws on the author’s real experiences during university, adapting them and adding tokusatsu horror elements to create a new story commemorating the author’s college years.
Everyone faces many different paths in life. Sometimes you choose one, sometimes another. But whichever path you take, it will surely affect what happens afterward. In this world, there are two realms, yin and yang, much like the human world and the underworld. The path you choose in the yang realm is considered the path you chose in the yin realm. By ringing a bell that foretells ill fortune, you can travel between yin and yang. The protagonists’ task is to make sure that every path leads to a good outcome. The villains want the opposite.
There are four protagonists in this novel, two men and two women, each of them a Kamen Rider. And unlike traditional tokusatsu, where the protagonist is the primary Rider, this time the protagonist is the third Rider. The story takes place throughout the author’s entire second semester of junior year, and the side stories and main novel may include scenes from freshman and sophomore year.
[Dedicated to the memory of my university years.]
[I will never forget you. Someday in the future, when you look at the photos taken before graduation, will you remember once more the times we spent having fun together?]
