Before the founding of the nation, immortals, demons, monsters, and gods roamed the mortal world, and legends were everywhere. Afterward, tales of the supernatural were gradually buried and forgotten, and people came to dismiss them as mere myth.
But no one knew that those ancient beings from the Classic of Mountains and Seas had never disappeared. They had simply slipped quietly into the modern world.
The age-old Kunlun Mountains hold countless legends of the Great Wilderness. The elder divine beasts there while away their days drinking and reminiscing about their glory days, but only dare tell the younger generation about them.
Qin Niao, of the Azure Bird lineage, and her divine-beast friends had lived carefree lives since birth. They wreaked havoc all over Kunlun, digging up immortal herbs and wrecking secret realms until their elders could no longer bear it.
To tame this gang of troublemakers, the elders joined forces to set them a trial: they would all go to the modern world and experience mortal life.
The Azure Bird Qin Niao, the Kai Ming Beast Shen Wei, the adorable Lu Wu Lu Zhizhi, the dashing Yingzhao Ying Buhui, the honest Tu Lou Lu Xian, the poisonous-feathered Qin Yuan Qing Yuanyuan, the true-flame phoenix Feng Xi, the celestial-voiced luanniao Wang Luan, and the plant spirit Sandalwood Tree Sha Miao all descended from the mountain together.
Kunlun finally had some peace and quiet, but the mortal world was thrown into chaos.
Ancient divine beasts descended on the modern city, experiencing work, shopping, and everyday life at home while uncovering all kinds of bizarre secrets hidden in its corners.
Once-mighty beasts of the Great Wilderness became impossible-to-ignore oddballs in the human world. Amid hilarious mishaps, they awakened legends of the mountains and seas that had lain dormant for a thousand years!
