(Mutual firsts)
Yu Xia, a minor celebrity, wakes up to find himself inside the script of an apocalypse drama.
The good news: he knows how the plot goes.
The bad news: he has become a cannon-fodder character destined to be bitten to death by zombies.
Even worse, one of the story's male leads is lying in the hospital bed beside him, and “he” was the one who beat him up.
And the man has amnesia.
Watching the male lead wake with a confused look in his eyes, Yu Xia forms a reckless plan.
“Who are you?”
“I'm Yu Xia. Your… boyfriend.”
From that day on, carrying this enormous lie, Yu Xia sets out to survive alongside the strongest man in the apocalypse.
He helps him stockpile supplies, braves a horde of zombies to find medicine for him, and shields him from the undead.
He tells himself these are investments, all for the sake of survival.
Until one day, the male lead shields him and says, “You matter more than anyone else.”
Only then does Yu Xia realize… he may have gotten a little too caught up in the role.
And as the forgotten truths buried deep in his memories gradually come to light, Yu Xia knows this act must eventually come to an end.
…
“If you found out I was lying to you, would you hate me?”
“I would.”
“…Then could you let go of me for now?”
“No.”
Although I finished reading it in a short time, the writing is really awesome. I wish I could continue writing. Come on, come on, come on.
Is it still the same as before? 🥺
