The world of gods is bankrupt.
Lu Mingguang, the God of Light, received a resettlement payment and was assigned to work as a grid member in Jinhua Community. His daily work involves mediating neighborhood disputes, investigating fire hazards, and organizing activities for the elderly—more tiring than the three thousand years he spent as a god combined.
The god of war works as a supervisor at the construction site, the god of love works as a moonmaster in a dating agency, and the goddess of wisdom teaches mathematics, physics and chemistry in a tutoring class. The kings of the gods in the past are now taking public transportation, renting houses, being scolded by their bosses, and worrying about utility bills.
Although the life was trivial, it didn't seem that bad. Lu Mingguang learned how to repair water pipes, grow flowers, and deal with stubborn old men. Until one day, the real evil god descended from the cracks in the void, and the human army was defeated.
Lu Mingguang knocked on the door of the community office: "Director, I would like to take three days off."
The director approved it. He walked out the door with all the gods behind him.
"Boss, we also asked for leave."
The god who was once forgotten by mankind decided to protect the world for the last time.
This time, not because of faith, just because we are neighbors.
