Before my grandfather died, he left me an old shop selling yin-world curiosities on an old street, along with seven ironclad rules: Never open after midnight. Don’t accept red-clad vengeful spirits or objects. The living must not take on debts from the underworld. Never look a paper doll in both eyes.
I’d planned to rent out the shop and live a quiet life, but one after another, I ran into strange incidents: people afflicted by evil spirits, haunted houses, vengeful ghosts demanding lives, and people harmed by sorcery.
I was forced to put our ancestral compass, talismans, and soul-guiding lantern to use. I moved between the world of the living and the underworld, following the rules passed down by the yin trade while dealing with evil spirits, unscrupulous practitioners, and cursed objects that harmed people.
People fear those who work with the yin world, but I know the most vicious thing in this world has never been ghosts. It’s the human heart, consumed by greed.
