Struck by Lightning at an Evil Temple: I’m the Thunder Department’s Agent in the Mortal World

On a rainy night, lightning struck the Dragon Whisker Temple in Anxi. An un consecrated, empty temple had been occupied by an evil god, whose eerie cackles echoed across the mountains.

Chen Wudao was passing by to take shelter from the rain when he kicked open the temple doors. “You laugh so horribly. What if you scare the flowers and grass?”

He snapped his fingers, and a brilliant blue bolt of heavenly lightning crashed down from above, wiping the mountain demon out on the spot.

He’d been an ordinary wage earner, but a celestial official from the Thunder Ministry misread the coordinates and struck him dead with a bolt of lightning.

To make amends, the Thunder Ministry gave him an official post: a human-world agent who commands heavenly thunder and eradicates evil spirits. They even dock his merit points to cover the temple roof repairs.

From then on, the world gained a wandering Thunder Master:

An evil god occupying a temple? One bolt smashed it to pieces. An evil cultivator raising baleful energy? Five thunders struck from above. Even a thousand-year-old corpse demon got the same treatment.

The Yin Fiend Cult is breaking seals everywhere and unleashing evil, while the Profound Yin Evil God is on the verge of emerging. Armed with the thunder of the Nine Heavens, he patrols the land. Wherever evil spirits lurk, heavenly punishment is sure to follow.
