At 3:17 in the morning, file restorer Lin Su received a death file that did not exist.
There was no name in the file, just a photo of an empty bed and a line of red text:
"Please prove that this person lived."
From that day on, Lin Su discovered that there were countless invisible doors hidden in the city. Behind the door are patients who have been erased from the hospital, children who have been "transferred" early from school, wedding parties without brides, and people who have disappeared from all records.
Every time a name is retrieved, reality will be confused; every time a piece of truth is revealed, part of Lin Su's own photos, identity and memory will be missing.
Medical student Xu Zhao's handwritten diary proves that he still exists, but investigator Shen Ya warns him: restoring identity may not mean salvation - some people desperately escape from the past, and the truth may return them to the hands of their perpetrators.
When the whole city began to forget Lin Su, he finally came to the source of all the missing pages.
There are no monsters behind the door.
There is only a set of deletion procedures performed by countless ordinary people.
Forgetfulness cannot be determined by the perpetrator.
But remember, it cannot be forced by bystanders.
